Ted was united in marriage on April 22, 1961, to Geanie Tighe. To this union two sons were born, Randell Scott Wisdom and Jason Dee Andrew Wisdom.
Ted professed a faith in Christ as young man and in 1983 was ordained as a United Baptist minister. Ted delivered the Word of God at many churches as their elected pastor or as a guest pastor preaching revivals. He pastored New Harmony United Baptist Church in Boss, Missouri and Little Vine United Baptist Church in Bunker, Missouri. Ted also performed many wedding ceremonies over the years and preached many funerals.
He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Rosie Wisdom, brother Herman Hershel Wisdom, brother and sister-in-law Wendell and Norma Wisdom, and nephew Warren Wisdom.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Geanie Wisdom of Salem, MO; son Scott Wisdom and wife Kathy (Baker) of Salem, Missouri; son Jason Wisdom and wife Kendra (Mounce) of St. Louis, Missouri; grandson Joshua Scott Wisdom and wife Kayla (Tharp) of Salem, Missouri; grandson Andrew James Wisdom of St. Louis, Missouri; great-grandchildren Darren, Gavin, Wiley and Dellamae Wisdom; along with many other extended family members and a host of friends.
Funeral Services for Teddy Utah Wisdom were held Tuesday, July 15, 2025, in the Wilson Mortuary in Salem Chapel with Pastor Adam Asher officiating. Special Music was provided by the Wisdom Family. Serving as pallbearers were Josh Wisdom, Andrew Wisdom, John Asher, Rick Luttrell, Lloyd Mathes, and David Wisdom. Burial was in the Greeley Cemetery in Bunker, Missouri. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary.
