Tempie Morrill Obituary
Mrs. Morrill, 89, of Alexandria, entered eternal rest on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Summer House, Alexandria, LA.
Tempie, a devoted mother and cherished member of her community, passed away surrounded by love. She was proud of her seven children and her stepdaughter, and her greatest joy was spending time with family. Tempie loved family gatherings, playing cards, and sharing laughter with those closest to her.
She was a talented and creative soul always active with crafts and making thoughtful gifts for birthdays and Christmas. Her generosity and creativity touched many lives. Tempie was a faithful member of Colfax Baptist Church, where her presence and spirit were deeply valued.
Known for her honesty and candor, Tempie never hesitated to speak her mind. Her strength, warmth, and sincerity will be remembered by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and faith.
Tempie will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved. Now, she watches over us alongside our other beloved family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie C. "Jay" Morrill; her parents, Benjamin and Margaret Lyle; three sons, Donald Hawkins, Charles Sellers, and Kenneth Ogorek; three daughters, Peggy Jiles, Elizabeth Elliott, and Mary Spikes; and one brother, Edward Lyle.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include one son, Walter Ogorek (Laura) of Alexandria; one step-daughter, Annie Willis (Gary) of Hillsboro, Illinois; twenty-one grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Austin Ogorek, Kolten Ogorek, Wyatt Wilson, Ronnie Jiles, Tim Ashcraft, and Ethen Ashcraft.
