Tera Collins Obituary
Tera P. Collins, a cherished resident of Lyons, Georgia, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on February 20, 1936, in Lyons, she lived a life dedicated to caring for others and surrounded by love.
Tera dedicated her career to providing compassionate care as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Oxley Park Nursing Home, where her kindness and commitment left a lasting impact on both her colleagues and the residents. A lover of nature, Tera found joy in tending to her flowers. Her beloved dog "Diva" was her best companion, she never left her side.
Tera was preceded in death by her parents, Lynnard and Kate Powell; her loving spouse, Vernon Collins; her siblings, Euler Edwards, Joyce Edge, Boots Powell, Carolyn Powell, Marvin Powell, Abe Powell and Junior Powell, as well as a brother and who passed away in infancy.
She is survived by her devoted cousin, dear friend, and caretaker, Linda Meeks, as well as several cherished nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Kennedy Funeral Home in Cobbtown on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 10-11 AM.
The Funeral Service will follow visitation at 11:00 AM
Burial will take place at Cedar Creek Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Kennedy Funeral Homes-Cobbtown.
