Mrs. Tera Shae Sprowles of Campbellsville was born in Green County on March 17, 1977. She departed this life on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at her home following a lengthy illness. She was 47 years of age. Mrs. Sprowles had made a confession of faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith.
Tera had a kind and gentle spirit, and a passion for helping others. She was a longtime employee of Green River Trails Rehabilitation Center (formerly Green Hill Manor), having worked as a RN there for 17 years. Life's simple pleasures, like sitting on her porch watching her flowers grow or a relaxing day at the beach, was what brought her the most joy. Her genuine laugh and compassionate heart will be greatly missed.
She leaves to cherish her memory:
Her husband: Travis Lynn Sprowles of Campbellsville,
A daughter: Jada LaShae Pierce of Campbellsville,
Her parents: Jerry Wayne Pierce of Greensburg, and Beverly Ann and David Bloyd of Summersville,
A brother: Jeff Pierce and wife Tonya of Summersville,
All of her coworkers and friends at Green River Trails,
And countless other family members and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Shreve and Sybil Pepper, and Ray and Myrtle Pierce.
Tera had requested cremation be accorded her. There will be a memorial service to honor her life on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 7:00 PM EST (6:00 PM CST) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville. Bro. Thomas Metcalf will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, Feb. 21, from 5:00 PM EST (4:00 PM CST) until time for the service.
In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations to the Taylor County Good Samaritans. Those can be made directly at www.taylorcountygoodsamaritans.com or in person at the funeral home.
