Tereesa grew up in Wausau, where she fell in love with the movie theater that her father was a manager of. She graduated from Wausau West High School. She had many jobs throughout her life, including the grocery store where she met her husband, Daniel. They were married on August 19, 1989. Of all her jobs, the most fulfilling to her was being a CNA at Unity Hospice.
