Terence was born on March 29th, 1947 and passed away on
April 2nd, 2025 at the age of 78Terence Haig Williams was born in Trenton, NJ to Clarence & Margaret Williams (nee Lawson), and raised in Morrisville, PA. Terry was an avid Boy Scout earning many badges in First Aid, Community Service, Stamp Collecting, Music, and more. These badges would set the tone for his life and career. He graduated from Morrisville High School in 1965, where he was a member of "The Pin Droppers" bowling team. He served in the US ARMY 1969-1971, deployed in South Korea where he was instrumental in organizing his fellow soldiers in an off-duty effort to serve the needs of a nearby orphanage. After service, he began a career in real estate, which led to mortgage lending and his rise to the position of Executive Vice President of GMAC until 1993, at which time he moved onto EVP and National Production Manager of Margaretten Financial Corp. He is remembered as a mentor by many.
In later years, Terry relocated to Florida, continuing his work in lending, while happily increasing time dedicated to his hobbies in stamp, coin, and train collecting. Terry was famous for his quick wit and humor and was a founding father of the family "Bad Boys Club". A human jukebox and former gig DJ, Terry could name nearly every song and artist from the 50's-early 80's and had an impressive record collection.
Retirement brought Terry back North to New Jersey, where he relished the role of being "Poppy" and being closer to family. He was active in the American Legion and continued in the hobbies and collections he had begun in his younger years.
Terry is survived by his daughters, Jessica Williams (Joshua Sowden) of New Hope, PA; Lauren Williams (Stephen Haegele) of Ivyland, PA; granddaughters Juniper and Emilia Sowden; his sisters Eileen Lindner and Beth Ann Williams, nephews Andrew Lindner (Bethany) and Peter Lindner (Meredith), great niece and nephew Alexandra and George Lindner, and a number of cousins in the US and Canada.
He will be laid to rest in the Washington Crossing National Cemetery at a date to be determined.
