John William Phillips, born June 22, 1960, in Allegheny County, PA, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025, in Morrisville, PA. A proud graduate of Morrisville High School, Class of 1979, John lived a life filled with cherished memories, notably the special bond he shared with his beloved grandchildren, Kaydance, Michal-Joy, Jethro, and Uriah.
A man of many passions, John was an avid hunter who enjoyed spending his days outdoors, finding serenity in nature and embracing the challenge of the hunt. His mechanical prowess allowed him to fix just about anything, a skill that endeared him to family and friends alike. He was known not only for his hands-on abilities but for his willingness to lend a hand whenever it was needed, making sure that those around him always felt cared for and supported. Above all, nothing meant more to John than spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. John adored being a grandfather and could be found playing Minecraft with his grandchildren at any opportunity.
A proud member of the N.R.A., John’s love of the outdoors was matched only by his sense of responsibility and commitment to the values he held dear. These values were reflected in his relationships with his family and friends, who will remember him for his kindness, generosity, and strong sense of integrity.
John is survived by his beloved son, Michael, and daughter-in-law, Katie; his siblings, Floyd (Cecelia) Phillips, Charles Phillips, Julie (Jim) Pietrocarlo, Mary Carol Phillips Allen, and Jean (David) Kemper; his sisters-in-law, Lee Phillips, widow of his late brother Michael; as well as several nieces and nephews who brought joy and laughter into his life.
John was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Annette Phillips, his siblings, Naomi, Michael and Robert Phillips, and his son, John Harrington. Together, they now watch over him as he embarks on this final journey.
John will be deeply missed by all who knew him – a gentle soul whose warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
