Teresa Becker

Teresa Becker (Olszewski), 76 of Mishawaka is now in the arms of her loving savior Jesus. Teresa passed away peacefully on July 30, 2024, with her loving husband Danny by her bedside at the Raclin House Center for Hospice.
Teresa was born in Wildflecken Germany on March 11, 1948, to Stefan and Helena Olszewski at the displaced Army base after her parents were forced from their home in Poland after World War 2. Her parents and her younger brother immigrated to the United States in 1950. Teresa grew up and lived in Mishawaka her whole life. She married the love of her life, Danny Becker in 1970. They have two daughters, Sherry (Mike) Spain of Summerville, SC and Carrie (Jeff) Kohler of Bluffton, SC. They also have two grandchildren, Haley Kohler and Noah Kohler.
Teresa was very creative and enjoyed sewing and gardening. She had the most beautiful flowers in her garden. Her love for flowers blossomed into working at the local floral shop, Powell the Florist. Teresa and Danny loved to travel. They visited her birthplace in Germany, the holy land in Israel and numerous places in the United States including Alaska and Hawaii.
Teresa is also survived by her siblings, Jerry Olszewski of Noblesville, IN, Irene (Tom) Stevenson of Sofia, NC, Genny Schmidt of Wasilla, AK, Cecilia (Sunday) Bumanglag of Nampa, ID and Regina Everett of Nampa, ID and their children, Angie (Dan) Call, Jennifer (Oren) Bell, Stefanie Summers, Jamie Kokoszka, Josh (Barb) Olszewski, John (Allison) Stevenson, Audrey Bottomly and Amy (Lann) Anderson.
She also had two siblings that preceded her in death, Julia Olszewski and Steve Olszewski.
Teresa is also survived by Danny's siblings, Darlene (Paul) Buckel, David (Kathy) Becker.
Funeral service will be held on August 10th at Michiana Community Church, 51637 Ash Rd, Granger, IN 46530 at 12:00 P.M. Family will accept guests immediately after to share in a meal and fellowship together.
