Teresa Lynne Doerr (Hoffmeister) of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025, at the age of 62.
She was born on August 9, 1963, to the late Chester R. and Betty F. (Vancil) Hoffmeister. Teresa grew up in North County, attending Grace Chapel Lutheran Church and School and Lutheran North High School.
Teresa was blessed to share 37 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband and soulmate, Ronald K. Doerr. She is also survived by her brother, Boyd (Cynthia) Hoffmeister; nephews Nathan (Leslie) and Ethan Hoffmeister; sister-in-law Sharon (Tim) Lemp; nieces Tara (Michael) Johnson; Lauren (Adam duToit); nephew Ricky (Lynn) Brettelle; great-nephews Ryan and Nick Brettelle; great-niece Baby Hoffmeister soon to be born; her godson, Trey Smith; cousins from the Wilson, Loeb, Moon, Parker, Vancil, Williamson, and Zondlo families, and many dear friends.
Teresa lived a full and joyful life. She loved sports—whether watching or playing, spending fun, sun-filled days outdoors by the water, whether in the pool or walking on the beach, caring for her flowers and plants. Teresa never met a “fur baby” she didn’t love. She kept dog treats stashed in the house, garage, and car, ready to spoil any neighbor’s dog who stopped by. She never missed an episode of Dateline and treasured moments spent with her family and friends. Those who knew her will remember her radiant smile, infectious laugh, generous spirit, and unwavering strength, especially throughout her courageous battle with cancer.
Teresa’s memory will be held close in the hearts of all who loved her.
