Teresa Lanier

Teresa Ann Jones-Lanier was born on February 22, 1965 to Geraldine Truitt Booth and Johnny Lee Jones, in Wayne County, Ga. She was a faithful member of Odum Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Odum, Georgia. Teresa was employed by Wayne County Board of Education where she worked at Odum Elementary School as a custodian. She enjoyed crafting and spending time with her family and friends.
Teresa passed away unexpectedly, October 29, 2025 at her home.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her sons, James Lanier Jr., Antonio Lanier (Katlynn) and Trent Lanier (Tia Allen); her mother, Geraldine Booth; her ex-husband, James Lanier, Sr.; her brothers, Felton (Shirley) Jones, Arthur (Cynthia) Jones and Willie (Belinda) Jones, Russell Truitt, Wayne Lanier and a sister, Candace Jones; her grandchildren, Preston Lanier, Brooklyn Jackson, Dre Thompson, Dolan Lanier, Celeste Franklin, Terrell Allen; her great grandchild; as well as her nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other family and friends who will miss her dearly.
A viewing will be held on Friday, November 07, 2025 at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W. Pine Street, Jesup, Ga. from 4-6 pm.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 08, 2025 @ 11:00 am at Odum Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 604 Hires Ave., Odum, Ga. 31555.
