Teresa Maggio

Teresa Maggio (nee Molina), age 56, a resident of Romeoville, IL, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Teresa was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and "Nana" whose love and laughter filled every room she entered. She was known for her strength, her quick wit, and her ability to find humor even in the hardest moments. For 23 years, Teresa proudly served the Village of Romeoville as a Utility Billing Clerk, where she was known for her hard work, kindness, and warm smile. She built lasting friendships with her coworkers and always took pride in helping others - a true reflection of her caring nature both at work and at home. A lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, Teresa never missed a game and proudly cheered them on through every season. Her greatest joy, though, came from supporting her grandchildren in all they did - she was their loudest fan at every baseball and softball game, always cheering from the sidelines with pride and excitement. Teresa had a deep love for music and singing, often filling her home and car with songs that lifted her spirits. She also had a knack for remembering every movie ever made - if you needed a recommendation, Teresa was the one to ask. Her fun-loving personality and contagious laugh made her the heart of every gathering, and her family will forever cherish those moments spent together watching movies, laughing, and making memories.
Teresa is survived by her loving husband, Pino Maggio; her children, Joseph (Rocio) Maggio, Kristina (Justin) Wernig, and Nina Maggio; and her cherished grandchildren, who lovingly called her Nana - Joseph Jr., Noah, Eliza, Savannah, Nala, and Raelynn. She is also survived by her mother, Aida Carmona; her siblings, Delilah Rivera, Rich Molina, and Steve Molina; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close.
Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Richard Molina.
Teresa's love, laughter, and unshakable spirit will live on through the many lives she touched - in every song sung, every game cheered, and every moment shared in her memory.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, 4:00-8:00 PM at Overman-Jones Funeral Home Cremation Services, 15219 S. Joliet Road (Corner of Rtes. 30 59), Plainfield.

A celebration of Teresa's life will be held Thursday, November 13, at 10:00 AM in the funeral home.
Interment: Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
