Teresa Pepper-Marble, 74, of Finchville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025. She was born on February 14, 1951, in New York, New York, to Francis Dillon Pepper and Benjamin Franklin Pepper. Teresa grew up in El Paso, Texas, and graduated from Burgess High School in 1969.

In her early years, Teresa's life revolved around her passion for horses. She owned and operated Willow Wind Arabians Farm in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where she trained and showed horses in Western Pleasure. Her pride-and-joy was her beloved horse, Shalem Prince, who won the 1979 Western Pleasure Half-Arabian National Championship (Amateur Owner) among more than 1,400 competitors from across the country. Shalem Prince was also ranked among the nation's top ten trail horses and won several cattle working championships. Horses were truly Teresa's world throughout her 20s and 30s.

After her years in the horse world, Teresa pursued a successful career in the legal field, working as a legal secretary for several prominent attorneys in both El Paso, Texas, and Denver, Colorado.

In 2001, Teresa met the love of her life, Albert Marble. The two were married in 2002 and shared 24 wonderful years together. Teresa and Albert shared a deep love for Australian Shepherds, founding Smokey Mountain Australian Shepherds. Together, they bred and showed multiple AKC Champions, creating a lasting legacy in the breed they cherished.

Teresa was known for her warmth, kindness, and generosity. She had a heart that never hesitated to help others, and her presence could light up any room. She loved cheering for her favorite teams, the Colorado Avalanche and the Denver Broncos, and found joy in the simple moments shared with family, friends, and her beloved dogs.

She is survived by her husband, Albert Marble; her son, Benjamin Lydick; her grandson, Tristian Lydick; and her sisters, Virginia Purviance and Rebecca Sinkler. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Benjamin Pepper; her sister, Anne Pepper; and her brother, Benjamin Franklin Pepper.

Teresa will be remembered for her boundless compassion, her love of animals, and the light she brought into the lives of everyone who knew her.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St Jude Children's Hospital in Teresa's name.
