Teresa Ann Nix, age 66, of Greenville, Texas, passed away on July 22, 2025, surrounded by love. She was born on June 11, 1959, in Dallas, Texas, to Arv Lee and Annette (Coppell) Nix.
To know Teresa was to be welcomed, to be seen, and to be loved. She had a rare gift for making everyone feel like family-whether you knew her for a lifetime or had just met her. Her heart was wide open, and she never hesitated to lend a hand, a hug, or a listening ear to anyone in need. She never met a stranger, only friends she hadn't gotten to know yet.
Early in life, Teresa worked as a data analyst for Dr. Pepper, but her true calling came in the joy she found in people. After retiring, she poured her heart into running an antique store and a shoeshine company-charmingly named "Shine by Day, Kick by Night"-alongside her husband Tommy. Together they built a life full of laughter, music, and meaning.
Teresa had a deep love for music of all kinds and could often be found dancing-whether on a dance floor, in her kitchen, or in the hearts of those she held dear. But her greatest pride and joy was her family. She was a devoted mother, a proud grandmother, and a fiercely loyal friend. Her love knew no bounds.
She is survived by her beloved husband of four years, Tommy Hill; her children, Ronnie Gold and wife Sky, Jaclyn Gold and husband Steven Crocker, Jr., and Patrick Gold and wife Cheyenne; her stepdaughter Toya Hill; and her treasured grandchildren: Christine, Sean, James, Hailey, Lincoln, Remington, and Jackson. She also leaves behind her father, Arv Lee Nix; her brother-in-law John Lesmaster; numerous nieces and nephews; and her best friends who were like sisters: Lisa Cuttill, Sally Brantley, and Bonita Canales. She was embraced by a large extended family and countless friends who will carry her spirit forward.
She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Annette (Coppell) Nix, and her dear sisters, Denise Lesmaster, Janice Nix, and Donna Nix-a reunion we know was filled with joy.
Though her physical presence will be missed beyond measure, Teresa's warmth, laughter, and generous spirit will live on in every life she touched. Her love was a light-steadfast, strong, and unshakeable-and that light will never go out.
