Teresa "Terri" Reese passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 26th 2025. Born October 1st, 1954 to Donald and Marlene Clegg in Indianapolis, Indiana. Terri graduated from Arlington High School in 1972.
After graduating from high school Terri started working for JC Penney. Where she met her future husband Fred Reese. Fred and Terri were married February 23rd, 1975. They welcomed their first daughter on April 15th, 1978 Rebecca Susann. Then they welcomed their second daughter on August 1st, 1980 Kelli Rene. They were married for 49 years before the passing of Fred in February of 2024.
Terri worked at Montgomery Wards in the late 80s earlier 90s in the Customer Service Department. She worked for Cub Foods Grocery store in the 90s as a cashier. Terri started working for Indianapolis Public School as an after school tutor. She later started working as a classroom assistant with special education preschool at IPS school 56. Terri loved to work with children. She also worked part time in the office at Arab Pest Control. Terri retired in 2020 from Indianapolis Public School.
Terri was a long time member of Cumberland United Methodist Church. She started attending in the late 80s. She joined the United Methodist Woman as a Mary Martha Circle. She served as a Co-chair for the Mary Martha circle for several years. She also helped out with the youth groups, vacation bible schools and Sunday schools.
Terri is survived by her daughters Rebecca (Evan) Brown and Kelli (Michael Rowe) Reese. Grandchild Isadore Brown. Her sister Kathy Lewis. Nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, 1 great great nieces. Sister-in-law Jean Gillis and Brother-in-law Dave (Karen) Reese.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Cumberland United Methodist Church on Monday April 21th. Calling 11-1. Service at 1. Cumberland UMC 219 N. Muessing St. Indianapolis, IN 46229. Flowers will be accepted at the church on the day of the service after 9:30 am. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Oakley-Hammond Funeral Home in Irvington.

I had worked with Terri at school 56 when I first started working for IPS I loved working with her she was a beautiful lady and easy to work with.
