Teresa Diane Sikes

Sikes – Teresa Diane Sikes, age 49, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025, at her parents' residence. She was born in Jacksonville on March 16, 1976, to her loving parents, Terrell "Terry" D. Sikes and Tammy Mills Sikes. Teresa was a lifelong resident of Duval County and a longtime member of Jones Road Baptist Church. Since childhood, Teresa has always been very athletic. She loved being outdoors, playing sports, boating, riding jet skis and motorcyles, and spending time at the beach. While in school, Teresa played softball and volleyball proudly representing the Golden Eagles at Paxon High School. After graduation, Teresa began in the workforce at St. Vincents Medical Center which piqued her interest in law and legal aspects. She attended Florida Community College of Jacksonville to further her education and had a successful career as a Paralegal. She served as a Legal Assistant for Harris, Guidi, Rosner, & Dunlap, P.A., Office Manager for David P. Trotti, P.A., and a Legal Assistant for Foretgra Financial Corporation before becoming co-owner and operator at M& E Collision with her fiancé and partner in crime, Morrie West. Teresa was full of life; always living to the fullest and appreciating each blessing our good Lord gave. More than anything, Teresa loved being a mother and grandmother and thoroughly enjoyed creating everlasting memories with precious family. She was certainly a treasure to her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Teresa was preceded in death by her sister, Stacy Sikes Bedford.

Teresa is survived by her parents, Terry and Tammy Sikes of Jacksonville, FL; son, Srgt. Ronald "Trey" (Lacey) Taylor, III United States Army of San Antonio, TX; sisters, Leslie (Chris) Smith of Jacksonville, FL and Kelly (Adam) Peterson of Taylorsville, NC; fiancé, Maurice "Morrie" West, Jr.; grandchildren, Ronald "Ret" Taylor, IV, Oakley Taylor, and Ryker Taylor; along with several nieces, nephews, family members and many friends.

A Celebration of Teresa's Life will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 11:00 am at Jones Road Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the church.
