Terra Lynn Boone

Terra Lynn Boone, 48, of Louisville, Kentucky, unexpectedly passed away surrounded by family at Norton's Hospital on January 10, 2024. She was born on November 7, 1975, in Alma, Michigan, to Lon and Linda Morey. Terra was a woman of immense love and care, always putting the needs of others before her own. She was known for her thoughtfulness, compassion, and selflessness, traits that endeared her to all who knew her.
Terra's spirit was vibrant and adventurous, always seeking new experiences and embracing life with enthusiasm. She had a deep devotion to her family and friends, cherishing the bonds she shared with them. Terra's inner beauty radiated outward, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched.
Terra's legacy will live on through her loving husband, Patrick, and their cherished children, DyLon Patrick and Ava Lynn. She is also survived by her loving parents, Lon and Linda Morey; and her siblings, Krista Morey, Gina (Paul) Gentile, and Laura King; along with her supportive in-laws, Michael and Johneva Boone; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and her reliable walking companion, Rhiley Lynn.
Terra was preceded in death by her siblings Lisa, Nicholas, and Angela Morey. Terra's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and loved ones.
Terra received her education at Mt. Pleasant High School and continued her studies at Central Michigan University and the University of Utah, where she graduated with a degree in Outdoor Parks, Recreation, and Tourism. Being the adventurous soul she embodied, Terra embarked on many creative endeavors including guiding youth outdoor adventures, culinary arts, authoring children's books, as well as many positions at Snowbird Ski Resort, where she met her dear husband, Patrick. In her leisure time, Terra found joy in helping others, nurturing her family, and pursuing her passions. She delighted in exploring new destinations, hiking, snowboarding, cycling, and spending time with her friends and family in The Republic of Panama, where they forged lasting friendships.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 14th between 1:30PM and 4:30PM in the Hospitality Room at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, Kentucky. On January 15th, at 11:00AM, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Terra's honor at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Additionally, a celebration of life memorial will be organized in her hometown of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, as well as at Snowbird Ski Resort in Little Cottonwood Canyon, Utah, where she created many lasting and lifelong relationships. Dates for these events will be announced at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions to be made to the Louisville Chapter of Blessings in a Backpack and Boys and Girls Haven. These charitable organizations held a special place in Terra's heart, and your support will help continue her legacy of compassion and generosity.
Terra Lynn will forever be remembered as a beacon of love, compassion, and selflessness. Her memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in eternal peace. We will always love you.
