In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church or a charity of one's choice, in Terrence's memory.

Terrence was born in Hancock, MI on June 1, 1940, son of the late Eric and Pearl (Anderson) Jarvinen. He was a proud graduate of Flint Tech High School, Class of 1958, carrying with him the values of hard work, loyalty, and integrity that would define his life. He went on to build a distinguished career as a Plant Layout Designer and worked for many dedicated years as a Journeyman Pipefitter at General Motors. Terrence took great pride in his craftsmanship and the strong work ethic that earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike. He honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps Reserve from 1962 to 1968, achieving the rank of Sergeant. His service reflected his deep love for his country and his unwavering sense of duty. On November 23, 1963, at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Flint, MI, Terrence married the love of his life, Carole Culbert. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love, partnership, and devotion. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and community. A devoted member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Terrence served faithfully in many roles including trustee, usher, worship assistant, choir member, and coach for both men's and women's softball teams. He also participated in church softball and bowling leagues, always eager to lend a helping hand and encourage others. His faith was not only something he professed but something he lived daily through service and kindness. Terrence found great joy in camping trips and in cheering on his children and loved ones at sporting events. He was present, engaged, and deeply involved in the lives of his family. He showed his love not just in words, but in action-by being there, by supporting, by guiding, and by caring wholeheartedly. His family was his greatest pride and his truest joy. Terrence's life was marked by service-to his country, his church, his work, and most importantly, his family. His legacy of love, faith, and steadfast devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Terrence is survived by his wife, Carole Jarvinen; 4 children, Gregory Jarvinen, Pamela (Thomas) Scofield, Michael (Lamis) Jarvinen and Timothy (Brandy) Jarvinen; 12 grandchildren, Niklas Jarvinen, Nolan Jarvinen, Benjamin Scofield, Alexander Scofield, Sophia Scofield, Wynton Jarvinen, Madeline Jarvinen, Kean Jarvinen, Kayla (Anthony) McCarty, Emma (Jaden) Davis, Ethan Jarvinen and Savannah Jarvinen; 3 great-grandchildren, Rosaline McCarty, Olivander McCarty and Magnolia Davis; sister, Carolyn (Gordon) Asiala; sister-in-law, Diane Jarvinen; brother-in-law, Ray (Joan) Culbert; many other loving family members and friends.
