Terri Lyn Davis, 61, of Strasburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Canton, with her daughters holding her hand. Born on January 17, 1964, in Canton, OH, Terri lived a life full of love, purpose, and service to others.
In 1993, Terri founded Ohio Billing from the basement of her beloved log cabin home. Through her vision, determination, and tireless work ethic, she built the company into a thriving family-owned business that has served Ohio communities for over 32 years. Her entrepreneurial spirit and passion for helping others inspired countless individuals to pursue their own dreams.
Terri had a deep love for nature and found joy in flowers, gardening, and canning. She cherished beach vacations, was always on the hunt for second-hand treasures, and had a flair for fashion-especially when it came to stylish clothing and boots. She was also known as an exceptional gift-giver, always finding the most thoughtful and perfect presents for those she loved. Her five beloved dogs-Bella, Remi, Ollie, Moe, and Blue-were constant companions and brought her endless joy.
More than anything, Terri adored her grandchildren. They were the light of her life, and she poured her heart into every moment spent with them. Her love for them was boundless and unwavering.
A pillar of her community, Terri was a Charter Member of the Bolivar Zoar Rotary, a facilitator for LaRed, a member of the Bolivar Community Business Association and Lions Club, Buckeye Foundation, Tuscarawas Economic Development Corporation Board, and an active contributor to the Small Business Development Center at Kent State Tuscarawas, where she served on several advisory panels. Her commitment to service and mentorship left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Terri was known for her generous heart, quick wit, and fearless driving-earning her the nickname "Hot Rod." She was always the first to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or share her wisdom with those starting their own journeys. Her legacy is one of compassion, strength, and unwavering dedication to others.
Terri is survived by her mother, Mary Jane Swanson "Snooks"; her fiancé, Michael Barker; her daughters, Danielle Davis and Gabrielle Ferguson (husband Lee); her cherished grandchildren, Jaxon, Easton, Keaton, Ruston, Hadley, Rowyn, and Walker; her brother, Clyde Swanson; and many other beloved family members and friends. Terri was preceded in death by her father Clyde Swanson, uncle William Young, aunt Elizabeth Young, uncle Roy Young, Jr., aunt Nancy Limbacher and father in law Jim Davis.
A celebration of Terri's life will be held at Ohio Billing, Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 4 to 7 PM. The Lebold-Smith Funeral Home in Bolivar is handling the arrangements. To share a memory, please visit the funeral home's web site.
