Terry Fischer Obituary

Terry was born on December 27, 1946 in Gladwin, Michigan to Roy and Luella (Cripps) Fischer. He grew up in the Prudenville area and graduated from Houghton Lake Community Schools. Terry served as a SP4 (T) in the Army during the Vietnam War from 1966-1968. On October 26, 1996 in Rose City Terry was married to Lee Ann Oliver. He owned and operated F & F Well Drilling in Prudenville for over 32 years and would probably still be working if his health would have allowed. Terry enjoyed his work, and that is where you would find him, but on occasion he would go fishing. Terry was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Rose City.
Surviving Mr. Fischer are his loving wife of 27 years, Lee Ann Fischer of Prudenville; daughter, Dana (Kevin) Grimsley of St. Helen; son, Eric Fischer of Grayling; step son, David (Valerie) Oliver of Lake Orion; two grandchildren, Emily and Andrew; two brothers, Ted (Karen) Fischer of Owosso, and Virgil (Jean) Fischer of Gurley, AL; several nieces and nephews. Terry was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Laurie Sue Fischer; and two brothers, Lance, and Thomas.
Funeral Services for Terry Lee Fischer will be conducted at 12:00pm Tuesday September 3, 2024 from Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel with Pastor Paul Kruse officiating. Interment will be in Denton Township Cemetery, Prudenville. Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 3, 2024 from 11:00am until the time of the service at 12:00pm. Memorial contributions in memory of Terry are asked to be directed to Prudenville Habitat for Humanity. Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel is serving the family. So many fond memories growing up with Terry and Ted as my next door neighbors and pals. Too many great times to single one out. I was fortunate to work for Terry in his saw mill before Uncle Sam called me away. Terry was a hard working, smart and resourceful man who helped keep us younger boys in line. His sense of humor made our arduous chores seem easy. Even though we´ve been far apart for many years, I feel a true loss at his passing. Rest in peace Terry.
