Terry F. Gobble, 86 of McDonald, Tennessee passed away on Friday, March 28,2025. Terry was born in Batesville, Arkansas to the late Raymond Clay Gobble and Violet McDoniel Gobble.
In his spare time Terry enjoyed golfing, bowling, crossword puzzles, bird watching, watching movies, and building fun items for his children. He could build just about anything- from play houses, to basketball goals, and even once built his children a fabulous seesaw. Terry even built his own home. After coming home from work on first shift, he would work on his house until dark, and until it was completed. He also later built a barn for his wife's beloved horse, a beautiful dog house for her beloved Cocker Spaniel and many home additions and improvements to his present home. Terry was a member of the graduating class of 1956 at Polk County High School.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents, Angus Jefferson McDoniel, and Viola Etta Best; his infant sister, Francis June Gobble; sister, Etta Mae Edgemon; his brother, Angus John Gobble; and his infant son, Terry Lynn Gobble.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Lynn Gobble; Special dog and Companion, Little Bit; children, Vickie (Wayne) Darlene Vann, Gary Joe Gobble, and Jeffrey (Renee) Alan Gobble; his brothers, Dale Gray Gobble, and Dennis (Becky) Ray Gobble; sister, Elois Kay Grindle; his grandchildren, Amy (Adam) Epperson, Tricia Bolen, Jay (Diana) Bolen, Karissa (David) Foster, Ethan (Taylor) Gobble, Cole (Maria) Gobble, Madison (Elijah) Hiddleson, Sydney Gobble, and Callie Gobble; and 10 great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Companion Funeral Home - The Cleveland Chapel at 6:00 pm with Reverend Adam Epperson officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm prior to the service.
