Terry Hivner Obituary

Born February 27,1956 in Dover, he was the son of the Late Carl E Hivner and Edna Mae Botner Hivner of Dover.
Terry is survived by a son Shawn Hivner, sister Deborah Updike and a brother Gregory Hivner, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and 1 great-great niece.
Terry was preceded in death by two brothers, Jeffery Hivner and Gerald (Butch) Bortner, and a sister Linda (Leese) Dudding.
Terry graduated from York Vo-Tech in 1975. Terry retired in July 2025 as manager of the auto body shop at Pilgrims Car Care Center.
Terry was a member of the PA Federation of Sportsmen and Conservationist, President of York County Federation, Director at West Manchester Township Farmers and Sportsman Association, York County Harley Davidson Owners Association, Dover Fish and Game, Clearview Hunting Lodge and Chairman of Muzzleloaders at York Youth Field Days.
Terry enjoyed the outdoors where he would farm, go hunting and fishing, along with riding his motorcycles.

Our deepest condolences to the Hivner and Updike families.
I couldn't have had a better youth including all the concerts, music festivals and the summer vacation of 1974 with Terry, Jeff and his sister Linda.
We had so many good times from baling
hay to the pool party at Doc Fishers etc.
I'm fighting back the tears. My biggest regret is not being able to see you before your passing.
Rest in peace my friend.
