Terry Hogan

Terrence (Terry) Coleman Hogan, 69, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2022. A visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Care, located at 7975 University Blvd in Clive, IA 50325, on Friday, October 21st from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Saturday, October 22nd at 10:00 AM.
Terry was born on March 10, 1953, to Daniel J. and Dolores (Coleman) Hogan in Des Moines, IA. He attended Dowling High School, Class of '71. Terry started his career in the trucking industry, and transitioned to insurance, and most recently Financial Services at Marsh McLennan. In his free time, Terry loved painting landscapes, going to his grandkid's sporting events, enjoying his family and friends, reading about the Civil War and Native American history, and communing with nature. He will be remembered for his wit and humor, his starched shirt style, his service as a mentor, and his hook shot when playing HORSE with his kids.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; sister Patricia King, brother Tim Hogan, and brother-in-law Dennis Delles.
Terry is survived and will be missed by his partner, Mary Essex; children, Dan (Komeh) Hogan, Kevin (Jennie) Hogan, and Colleen (Brandon) Jeffrey; their mother, Kathy Hogan, nine grandchildren, Cole, Grace, Jack, Claire, Grant, Garrett, Ben, Adalind, and Lily; siblings Susan (Steve) Doty, Barbara (Carl) Adrianopoli, Kate Delles, Jeanne (Bob) Howlett, and Brian (Laurie) Hogan; many nieces and nephews, and his dog, Mia.
