Terry Michael Moore, 78, of
Pickerington, Ohio, after an extended battle with prostate cancer, passed away on February 18, 2026 with his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings and his dog surrounding him.
Born on August 29, 1947, in Columbus, Ohio, Terry built a life defined by faith, family, friendship, and community. He was a devoted husband to Mary "Patsy" (Murray) Moore, with whom he shared a loving marriage and a proud family legacy.
Terry was a loving father to Wendy (Edward) Babcock of Pickerington,Ohio, Andrew (Heather) Moore of Pickerington,Ohio, and Lori Moore (Demaco Booker) of Powell, Ohio. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Padraic (Skylar) Moore of North Royalton, Ohio, Colin (Monet) Babcock of New York City, NY, Noah Moore of
Canal Winchester, Ohio, Jared (Sarah) Babcock of New Albany, Ohio, Nathan Moore of
Pickerington, Ohio, Olivia (Nat) Moore of New Albany, Ohio, and Emma Moore (Michael White) of
Pickerington, Ohio. And we cannot forget to mention his favorite buddy and companion, his dog Charlie. He is also survived by his siblings: Dan (Lisa) Moore of Myrtle Beach, SC, Patrick (Karen) Moore of North Port, FL, Peggy (Dennis) Barber of Dublin, Ohio, and Molly Moore Downard (Cookie) of Delaware, Ohio. Terry is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Jerry and Dolores Moore.
Terry and Patsy took over Murray's Tool Rental (Columbus,Ohio) in 1979, a small family owned business, founded in 1939, from Harry and Rita Murray and continued the business for 38 years. Upon their retirement, they proudly passed the torch to their children, Andrew and Wendy, who continued the family tradition of service to the community.
Terry was a founding member of Pope John XXIII Parish, now The Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in
Canal Winchester, Ohio, where his faith remained a guiding force throughout his life. He was also a dedicated member of the Kairos Prison Ministry, where he shared his knowledge of faith and love of God to those in the prison.
Terry loved to play golf and helped to create the WAGGLE (Wednesday Afternoon Guys Golf League Etc) golf group. He also enjoyed "dominating" in the WAMO (World Amateur Manager's Organization) fantasy baseball group. A lifelong baseball fan, Terry enjoyed cheering for the Pittsburgh Pirates, a love for the game that began in his youth and never faded.
Nothing brought him more joy than watching his family grow and celebrating their accomplishments. Terry will be remembered for his steady presence, strong work ethic, unwavering faith, and deep love for God, his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the community he served and the family he cherished.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026 from 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 650 W. Waterloo Street,
Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110, with a 4:00PM prayer service. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at The Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 5170 Winchester Southern Rd NW,
