Terry Reed

Terry Wayne Reed, 64, of Knoxville, TN, passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family and friends after a 10 month battle with cancer. Terry was born in Knoxville, TN on June 25th, 1960, and attended Farragut High School, Class of 1978. Terry was an integral part of Three D Metal Works with an immense knowledge of Steelmaking and Continuous Casting. He was instrumental in the many projects completed by Three D at numerous mill locations throughout the United States - from new installments and major Caster Re-Vamps to solving maintenance/operational issues. Terry was more than a salesman or sit foreman - he cared about his customers and truly wanted them to succeed and worked tirelessly to achieve this goal. He was an avid car collector and car show attendee. He won multiple "best in shows" in local and regional car shows.Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Bea Reed; grandparents, Terry and Lenice Wyrick; and in-laws, Howard and Nell Holmes.He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Lois Holmes Reed; daughter, Leslie Reed; son, Joe Reed and fianc Kaylee Lane; grandchildren, AJ, Jordan, Drayce, and Jada; sister, Vera Ann Davis (Hubie); brother-in-law, Winston Holmes (Michelle); nephews, Kent Davis and Josh Davis; niece, Kieran Holmes; aunts, Vera Harvey (Jack) and Linda Gerth (Howard); special friends, Greg, Gamble, Pat Goins and a host of other friends from Farragut High School.Special thanks to Three D Metal Works, Andrews South Carolina, owners Bobby and Donnie Dail, UT Hospice and Nurse Alison, UT Medical Center, Dr. James Mosley, MD & staff and Dr. Steven Dills, MD & staff.A receiving of friends will be held on Monday, February 10th, 2025, from 5pm - 7pm, with a service to follow at Click Funeral Home Middlebrook Chapel.In lieu of flowers, please make charitable donations to Kruisin For Kids c/o Mike Grubb 17453 Cleveland Rd, Abingdon, VA 24211.Casual dress requested for the memorial service.
