Terry D. Steiner

Terry Dean Steiner, 69, of Rockford, passed away at home, surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

Terry was born on September 1, 1956, in Waupun, WI, the son of Elmer and Rheba (Story) Steiner. He graduated from East High School, Class of 1975 and later attended Rock Valley College. Terry married Leann M. Letsinger on November 26, 1977, in Rockford.

He dedicated a lifelong working career working as a tool and die maker for Uniform Tooling until his retirement. Terry devoted much of his younger life to playing slow pitch softball leagues, making many friends and unforgettable memories. He enjoyed fishing, attending card club for over 40 years, cheering on his Green Bay Packers and competing in his fantasy football league. Most of all, Terry cherished his time spent with his wonderful family and dear friends. He will be greatly missed.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Leann Steiner; children, Erik (Graciela Franzwa) Steiner and Nicole Monestero (Jeff Ziemer); grandchildren, Kayle Monestero (Austin Ludke), Evelyn and Ethan Steiner; brother-in-law, Steve (Ardene) Letsinger; numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. Terry is predeceased by his parents and his siblings, Don, Annette, Richard and Gloreda.

The Steiner family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Alyssa Cielesh and all the wonderful nurses of the OSF Cancer Center for their care and compassion given to Terry.
