Mrs. Thensa M. Richmond Pennix was born March 2, 1942, the daughter of Frank and Lucille Thaxton Richmond. She entered eternal peace on October 13, 2022 at the age of 80, at her residence.
She grew up in Caswell County and was educated in the public-school system. She graduated from Caswell County Training School in 1959 and later that year united in marriage to William M Pinnix.
Thensa accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Beulah Baptist Church of Leasburg, North Carolina. She was a faithful member and served on the Health Ministry, Mixed Chorus, Growth Ministry, Missionary Ministry, and the Pastor's Aid Committee. She loved spending time with her family and participating in church activities.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband: William M. Pennix "WM" of the home; two daughters: Anita F. Pennix of Winston Salem, North Carolina and Angelia P. Kimber of Greensboro, North Carolina; granddaughter, Khya R. Kimber and great granddaughter Kailani Forte both of Greensboro, North Carolina; four sisters in law: Queen Caudle, and Rhonda Richmond of the DMV area; Bessie Clemmons and Josephine P. Poole of Mebane, North Carolina; four brothers in law: Willie T. Pennix of Rahway, New Jersey, Walter Pennix of Washington DC, Larry Pennix, and his wife, Iris of Mebane, North Carolina and William Wortham of San Antonio, Texas one godson Wesley Henderson and one goddaughter Antonia McIver.
She also is survived by two special friends whom she recognized as her son and daughter: Morris "Jr. Boy", Thompson and his wife, Lisa, an Ocie Henderson and her husband, Louis and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: John Frank Richmond and Joseph Donnell Richmond, and a sister Amy Richmond Wortham.
