Theodore Clifford Harvey

Ted Harvey, 85 year old Fargo resident, passed away April 3, 2025 in Elk City. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, June 6, 2025 at the Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Theodore Clifford Harvey was born on December 28, 1939 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Maxie Newton and Virginia Jessie (Harbour) Harvey. Ted graduated from Gage High School in 1958. Ted farmed and raised cattle northwest of Fargo his whole life. He was County Commissioner for Ellis County, was a member of the Fargo School Board, and served on the Fargo Co-op Board. Ted also owned and operated equipment, building terraces and ponds all throughout many counties. Ted also owned and operated TJ Diner and TJ Gallery for 21 years. He was very involved in developing WW Spargrass seed.
He enjoyed framing western art and as a dealer he traveled to many events including the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada. He really enjoyed meeting famous artists and flying Cessna airplanes.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Maxie and Virginia Harvey, brother Van Rex Harvey and grandsons Justin Harvey and Joseph Berands.
Ted is survived by his wife of 40 years, Bobbie Harvey; children: Leslyn and Mark Swinford, Tim Harvey, Tammie Berends, Jeff Schiller; sister, Esther Fields; other relatives and many friends.
