Theodore W. "Ted" Holzman, 78, of Moscow, and formerly of Scranton died Friday evening at Allied Hospice Inpatient Unit

following an extended illness.

Born January 1, 1947 in Scranton, he was the son of the late Leonard R. and Esther (Ross) Holzman. Ted was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. He was an Army veteran serving in the Republic of Vietnam during the Vietnam war. Ted was employed as a truck driver and worked in landscaping for many years. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Scranton, and the American Legion Post 665 of Dickson City.

Ted was a kind and generous person always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Surviving are his siblings: Robert Holzman, and wife Florence of New City, NY, Vivian Derr of Fountain Valley, CA, Leonard R. Holzman Jr. and wife Barbara of Scranton, Pamela Ceccarelli of Scranton, Gary Holzman of Scranton, and Susan V. Holzman of

Brooklyn, NY; nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his sister Dorian Holzman.

A memorial service and military honors will be conducted Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in Immanuel Lutheran Church, 238 Reese Street, Scranton, PA with Rev. John Zimmerman, pastor as officiating clergy.

Friends will be received on Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the church.

Interment and committal prayers will be conducted at Evergreen Cemetery on the family lot.

Memorial contributions may be made to Evergreen Cemetery, 238 Reese Street, Scranton, PA 18508

Lenny and family I´m so very sorry for your loss . I remember Ted from school he was a good guy and I´m sure he was a great soldier. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
