Theodore Roosevelt Nix III

Theodore Roosevelt Nix was born April 17th, 1967 to Deloris and Roosevelt Nix in Toledo, Ohio. He went home on December 8th, 2023 at the age of 56. He is preceded in death by his father Roosevelt Nix and sister Rosalind Nix.
Roosevelt graduated from Scott High School in 1987. He loved all kinds of sports but especially basketball and football. He excelled at football and continued his football career at DuPage Junior college and then transferring to Central State University. He was a member of the Marauder NAIA National Football Championship team. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 1992 NFL draft. He continued his career as a member of the Minnesota Vikings and Arizona Cardinals. Roosevelt continued playing in the Arena football league for several years after his NFL career. After football, he started a new career working private and concert tour security. He spent the rest of his long successful security career with numerous artists and traveling the country.
He is survived by his mother Deloris Ross, Sisters Collette (Greg) Williams, Rochelle Nix and Rolonda Nix his brother Ronnie Williams and his special brothers Kevin Culp and Greg Harris. He leaves a legacy in his sons Micajah Reynolds, Roosevelt Nix, Rozelle Nix, Mikael Simmons, Rajon Long, Mercer Pierre and John Snow. He had a special bond with his cousin Denise "Neicy" and they were always planning some kind of trip. He is lovingly survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and family members. Roosevelt was also known as June, Uveh or Rosie and never met a stranger and was always up for any adventure. His infectious laugh and humor carried him far and he truly lived every day to its fullest. Roosevelt loved and treasured his core group of friends, Lanas Woodson, Ed Phillips, Greg Harris, Byron Edwards and William Cayson. He would especially look forward to the annual Bulldog Alumni weekend and will forever and ever be a Bulldog!
