Theresa Beringer, 64, of Jacksonville, North Carolina passed away on May 21, 2025, at her residence. Private services will be held at a later date.
Theresa was born on January 12, 1961, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Frederick Beringer and Phyllis Longaker Beringer. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Mark Beringer.
She is survived by her daughter, Cherise LeBouef of Sneads Ferry, NC; grandson, Michael LeBouef III of Sneads Ferry, NC; siblings, Phyllis McCleary (Rick) of New Jersey and Fred Beringer (Sandy) of Texas; sister-in-law, Lisa Beringer of Delaware; nephews, Nick McCleary and Tyler McCleary, both of New Jersey, Nathan of Delaware; nieces, Victoria of Delaware and Nicole of Texas, and special friend, Jack Edwards.
She was the "fun grammy," taking Michael to the park to roller skate, movie dates at the theater, playing all the board games possible, and of course a limitless amount of "cuddles."
She was an involved Mom and never missed any milestone events from award ceremonies to graduations to sporting events, etc. She was always just a phone call away to talk through any of life's crazy curve balls.
Terry was known for her hearty laugh aka cackle and kind heart. She was the heart and soul of our family, and she will be dearly missed.
A private celebration of life ceremony will be held at the beach, honoring Terry's wishes for an intimate gathering in a place she loved. Those who knew her will remember her vibrant spirit and cherish the memories they shared. She would want us all to share a laugh and raise a glass in celebration of her journey home back to her Mom, Dad and loving brother.
