Theresa Joann Kehs, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Cora Padilla.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, Douglas Kehs; her son, Douglas Kehs (Tiffany); her daughter and caretaker, Kim Hawkins (Joshua); and her cherished grandsons, Tony and Jadyn. She was deeply loved and surrounded by her best friend, Adelita; her sister, Jackie; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She also leaves behind several beloved fur grandbabies who brought her much joy.
Theresa lived a life full of love and laughter. She found happiness in the simple pleasures-sunny days at the beach, playing cards with friends and family, and cheering on her favorite team, the Chicago Cubs. Most of all, she treasured time spent with her family, who were always at the center of her world.
Though her illness came quickly, Theresa met it with strength and grace. She will be forever remembered for her warmth, her unwavering love, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no formal service. The family will hold an intimate memorial with immediate family to honor her life and memory.
