Obituary of Theresa Kathryn Nevin
Theresa "Terri" Kathryn Nevin passed away on October 24th at the age of 74 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
Terri, affectionately known as "Terr-Bear" to those who loved her, was a force-a free spirit, an artist, a mother, a doting grandmother, and an activist. She lived simply but beautifully, she gave generously and loved unconditionally. She touched everyone who came to know her, inspiring us all to be our true selves and to make everyday count.
Terri was the eldest daughter of Robert and Barbara Nevin. She lived most of her life in Minneapolis where she worked the past sixteen years at Studio 411 Salon Spa in Bryn Mawr, and befriended countless coworkers and clients. Terri was an advocate for peace and social justice; she often donated her time and money in support of others. She loved to paint, was an avid reader, loved to play cards and loved nature.
She spent her final days doing what she loved at her brother Jeff's home in Stillwater MN; gazing out at the river watching the birds, surrounded by beauty and wrapped in the arms of her loving family.
Terri leaves behind her four children and Tanner Jessica, Sarah and Michelle, her seven beloved grandchildren, her three brothers and four sisters, and a whole community of extended family and friends who were blessed to know her. We are forever grateful for our time with her, for what she taught us and for how she loved us. We love you forever, Mama Bear.
We are eternally grateful to mom's brother,Jeff Nevin and his partner Angela Ross for providing care, peace and comfort to mom and her family in her final days of life.
A private memorial was held for Terri on October 29th in Stillwater, MN. Please consider making a donation in Terri's honor to the Minnesota Indian Women's Resource Center in Minneapolis https://www.miwrc.org/
