Theresa Marie Roy

Theresa Marie Roy, age 54, of Shelton, Connecticut entered eternal rest on Wednesday November 22, 2023 in Bridgeport Hospital. She was born in Bridgeport on September 2, 1969 the daughter of John H. and Yvonne (Jee) Roy and was a resident of Shelton for most of her life.
Theresa earned an associates degree in occupational therapy and spent 30 years devoted to helping others in the healthcare field. She was employed with the Gardner Heights Health Care Center for many years until being diagnosed with Metastatic breast cancer in May of 2019.
Theresa was incredibly loved by her family and friends. She was a fantastic mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She spent 12 years as a Girl Scout Troop Leader and was known for her love of the ocean. She will be remembered for her kindness and the compassionate care she showed to others.
Theresa is survived by her daughter Jessica Donlon; her brothers John H. Roy Jr. and his wife Chulaluk, and Christopher J. Roy and his wife Linda; her nephews Geoffrey Roy and his wife Nanaki, and Julien Roy; her nieces Amanda Roy and her partner Gabi, and Jasmine-Brianna Roy; and her daughter's father Mike Donlon and his wife Theresa Mcweeney.
Friends are invited to greet Theresa's family on December 2, 2023 from 10 AM until 12:00 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd. Shelton. A celebration of life will begin in the funeral home at 12:00 PM. Memorial donations can be made in Theresa's memory to the METAvivor Research and Support Inc..
