Theresa Mary Thompson

Theresa Mary "Terry" Thompson, age 81, passed away on December 6th, 2025.

Terry was raised in West Chester, PA, and spent most of her life in Springfield, PA, before most recently residing in Glen Mills. She earned her undergraduate degree from West Chester University, and later completed graduate studies at Villanova University and Temple University.

A lifelong educator, Terry served the Upper Darby School District for more than 30 years, most recently as a principal. She was known for her steady leadership, compassionate mentorship, and unwavering commitment to students, families, and colleagues. Many remember her as a thoughtful listener who set high expectations and celebrated every success-large and small.

Adventurous by nature, Terry traveled to all 50 states and visited much of Europe, with Scotland holding a special place in her heart. Above all, she treasured time with her family, especially her great-nieces and great-nephews, whose milestones and everyday moments brought her the greatest joy.

She is the daughter of the late Samuel and Veronica (née Curay) Thompson, and sister of the late Samuel Thompson.

Survivors: Her brothers, Stephen Thompson (Cindy) and Robert Thompson (Debbie); her sister-in-law, Mary Thompson; two nieces, three nephews, and six great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation: Friday, January 9th, 2026, from 9:30am-11:00am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA 19014.
Memorial Service: Friday, January 9th, 2026 at 11:00am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home.
Burial: Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA 19064.
