Theresa Warner

Theresa (Cuccia) Warner, our sister, our mother, our grandmother, our friend, and the Lord's loyal servant passed away on October 28, 2021, while she slept peacefully in the arms of our Lord, Jesus Christ. In a letter left to her children and in several conversations leading up to her death, she explained what a wonderful, fulfilled life she'd lived in which she had found complete Atonement.
Theresa was the first born of Andrew and Margaret Cuccia. She was born on March 3, 1930, in Chicago IL. In Chicago she was raised in the Italian Barrio (as she would say) with her beloved two sisters Rosemarie and Caroline and her baby brother Andy. Theresa was talented in Arts and Crafts so attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago after graduation from high school. However, she never graduated from the art school, because she was hired by the Three Sisters interior design company after being highly recommended by the school. During this time, she was married, divorced, married, had two beautiful children Mark and Cheryl, and then divorced. In 1963, the man of her dreams "Bob" Warner, new to the area, walked into the Three Sisters' store wanting to cash a check. Theresa and Bob were united in Christ on New Year's Eve 1965. The four of them formed a family and moved to Tucson, AZ where they lived until 1970. In Tucson she began her new career as an Episcopalian priest wife. During their time in Arizona, they gave birth to Bobby and then John. Also, during this time, they were baptized in the Holy Spirit, left Tucson, fired in the Valley, and went searching for the perfect church. In 1973, they began their ministry at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Windsor, CO. While in Windsor, they formed The Community of New Life, practiced Inner Healing, and changed the spiritual lives of many. After their retirement and her husband's death in 1997, Theresa split her time between Windsor as a member of St. Albans and in Arizona as a member first of St. James Episcopal Church and then Living Faith Anglican Church. In 2008, she moved back to Arizona permanently where she continued to be a beloved member of Living Faith, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Theresa is survived by her sister Caroline Novasad and brother Andy Cuccia. Her 4 dear children Mark (Patti) Warner, Cheryl (Andrew) McGinley, Bobby (Michele) Warner, and John Warner (Courtney Demichellis) were by her side at the end. She has 9 cherished grandchildren Chris (Lida) Medina, Mark (JoAnn ) Warner, Andy (Summer) Warner, Stephanie McGinley, Ricky (April) Warner, Kendra Warner, Derek Warner (Julie Watson), Christian Warner, and Indika McGinley. Finally, she was the proud great grandmother of 8 and counting. Theresa was loved by many and loved many. May a piece of her heart reside in yours. May she be remembered for her love and compassion. May she be a witness to you to love your neighbor as yourself. May she be an example of how to serve the Lord, Jesus Christ. May Theresa live in eternal peace next to Andrew, Margaret, Bob, and Rosemarie. Theresa will be missed on Earth, but we will be reunited in Christ in Eternal Life.
Theresa's Rosary and Funeral will be held on Saturday, November 6 at Our Lady of the Valley Church, Windsor, starting with the reciting of the Rosary at 10:30 a.m., Funeral at 11:00 a.m. then interment at Windsor's Lakeview Cemetery, with luncheon to follow at Our Lady of the Valley.
