Therese ("Terri") Dunn was born January 11, 1958, at Milwaukee Hospital and passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025, at the age of 67. She was the beloved daughter of the late Norbert and Eleanore Dunn and is survived by her loving brothers James (Jill Bedford) and Steven (Sandy Slivon-Dunn). Terri was very bright, a gifted writer, with a keen sense of humor and love for family, friends, and her cats. She engaged her passion for literature and writing, graduating from UWM with a Bachelor of Arts degree, where she wrote for the school newspaper. She pursued further studies at MATC, attaining a degree that prepared her for a career as a legal secretary. Terri lived a vibrant life, enjoyed travel, and took up painting.
After enduring mental and physical health challenges, she suffered an anoxic brain injury in 2006 and for the last nineteen years resided at Edenbrook Lakeside care center, where she was attended to with unconditional love by her late mother, Eleanore, and the devoted, caring staff. Terri loved butterflies, which decorated her room, and had a devotion to the Infant of Prague, a traditional Catholic image of Jesus by her bedside. The family offers gratitude for the devoted caregivers at Edenbrook, and the caring nurses at Ascension Milwaukee and Compassus hospice who cared for her in her final days.
Visitation for Terri will be held at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 3774 E. Underwood Ave. Cudahy, WI. on Wednesday, March 19 from 11-11:30 AM followed by a prayer service at 11:30. Burial will be held at Veterans Cemetery in Union Grove, WI, at a later date.
