Thomas Richard Abrams, 54, of Pleasantville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at his residence.
Tom was born in Oil City on October 12, 1971, to Richard and Judy Davenport Abrams. He married Jennifer R. Nichols on July 15, 1995, at the Titusville First Methodist Church.
He was a graduate of Titusville High School, Class of 1990, and attended the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville.
Tom was employed for the past 13 years as Safety and Assembly Coordinator at Grand Valley Manufacturing, beginning his tenure there on June 1, 2012.
In his younger years, Tom was involved in sports of all kinds. He was an accomplished wrestler throughout high school and participated in golf. After high school, he played in an intermediate-level fast softball league and traveled throughout the tri-state area, competing in many tournaments.
As Tom's children grew older, he became a dedicated coach for all their baseball teams. For many years, he coached at every level-t-ball, midgets, little league, junior and senior leagues, all-stars, and American Legion, and cared deeply for all his players.
He was a member of the Tuesday Night Elder Statesman Golf League at Green Acres.
Tom was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a true family man; nothing mattered more to him than his family. If someone needed something, he would drop everything and lend a hand to anyone.
He was a mentor, friend, father, husband, son, and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Jennifer of Pleasantville; three children, Taylor Amy and husband Bradley of Brecksville, OH, Zackary Abrams and fiancé Elizabeth Hoovler of Titusville, and Tanner Abrams and fiancé Olivia Zeigler of Cresson, PA; his parents, Richard and Judy Abrams of Hydetown; siblings, Cory F. Abrams of Hydetown, and Michelle George of Titusville; his father and mother-in-law, Ralph Nichols and wife Connie of Pleasantville; brother-in-law, Joseph Nichols and wife Tara of Centerville; three nieces, Aubrey and Haedyn Nichols of Centerville, and Carly George of Titusville; three nephews, Matthew Abrams of Franklin, Nathan Abrams of Hydetown, and Todd George of Erie.
Tom was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Keith and Gertrude Davenport, and paternal grandparents, Frank and Eleanor Abrams.
Visitation will be held at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc. 303 N. Washington St. on Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday at the Pleasantville Community Church at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Shawn Jacobson officiating.
Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Pleasantville.
