Thomas Arnold Ahrens, 71, of El Mirage, AZ, peacefully passed away on May 30th, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Tom was born Feb 6th, 1954 in Menomonie, WI to Arnold and Marie Ahrens (Pax) where he also graduated Menomonie High School and started his first business, Ahrens Heating and Refrigeration.
From his youth, Tom enjoyed trapping, hunting, fishing and watching football. He was a President of the Menomonie Jaycees and member of the Dunn County Fish and Game. In the mid 80's Tom and his family moved to Rhinelander, WI where he continued in the HVAC/R trade, eventually starting Quality Systems INC. While in Rhinelander, he enjoyed coaching Pop Warner Football, was a member of Ducks Unlimited, a volunteer firefighter for the town of Pelican, and shot Trap at The Hodag Sports Club. Every year Tom returned with his boys to Menomonie for pheasant and deer hunting all over Dunn County.
Growing tired of the long winters, Tom moved to Phoenix, Arizona, met and married Nayeli Herrera, and had resided there for the past 20 years.
Tom is survived by his former wife, Corinne Cramer and their children Greg and Brian (Melissa), grandsons, Nolan and Evan, a brother John, sister Sue (Scott) Webb, several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Art and Bob.
A visitation with service will be held at Rhiel Funeral Home in Menomonie on Friday July 25th from 1:00 to 3:00 PM with internment at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery after.
In lieu of flowers the family would kindly ask for a donation in memory of Tom be made to Boys Town USA.
