Thomas Oliver Baity, 75, of Kernersville, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025. Born on March 8, 1950, in Thomasville, North Carolina, Thomas lived his entire life in the community he loved, surrounded by friends, family, and faith.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carlene Baity; his parents, Julian Baity and Zeola Barnes; and his sister, Joyce.
Thomas is survived by his devoted son, T.C. Baity and wife Lindsey; and his cherished grandchildren, T.J. and Aubrey Baity. He is also survived by his loving sister, Judy Moore.
A man of deep faith and strong community ties, Thomas was a longtime member of Abbots Creek Missionary Baptist Church in High Point, NC. His commitment to service extended through his membership in the Numa F. Reid Masonic Lodge, also in High Point.
Thomas was an avid golfer who found joy both in playing and watching the game. He was a proud supporter of East Carolina University and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on the Pirates. His greatest joy, however, came from the time he spent with his grandchildren, creating memories filled with love, laughter, and stories they will treasure forever.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Abbots Creek Missionary Baptist Church in High Point, NC. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
Thomas Oliver Baity will be remembered for his warm heart, steady faith, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. He will be deeply missed.
