Thomas James Blough

Thomas James Blough passed away peacefully on April 29, 2024 in Ventura, Ca with dear friends by his side after a brave, month-long battle of illness.
Tom was born on January 11, 1958 in Ventura, California to Jim and Helen Blough and was the younger brother to Daniel Blough. He attended St Bonaventure High School (Class of 1976) and earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Redlands. Tom married the love of his life, Carol, and enjoyed a beautiful marriage together until her passing in 2011. He was a proud father of his "Blough Boys" and "Papa" to his four grandchildren.
Tom had a gift for making friends and developed many life-long bonds. Whether playing a round of golf, watching sports with his cronies, or going on a weekend trip to wine country, he always found the most joy in life by being in the company of those in which he cherished.
Tom is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Justin and Alissa Blough of Woodstock, GA and son and daughter-in-law Brett and Gina Blough of Grafton, MA; along with his four grandchildren: Hailey, Cadence, Mason and Luca. The Blough Family would like to especially thank George Williams, Roger and Peggi Loftus, Jeff and Kristi Miskel, Greg and Lisa Grimes, Steve and Melinda Burkhardt, Trish Flores and the multitude of people who visited, prayed for and loved on Tom this past month. The list could be endless and we appreciate you one and all.
A Celebration of Tom's life will be held at a funeral mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 3175 Telegraph Rd, in Ventura, at 10:30am on Friday, May 10th and reception to follow. Being a true Ventura Local, Tom was a huge proponent of shorts and comfortable attire. Per his wishes, casual attire at his service is highly encouraged.
