Mr. Thomas Earl Brinkley, Sr., 74, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center. Thomas was born July 26, 1949, in Laurens, SC to the late Derwood Belmont Brinkley and Loubell Weathers Brinkley. Thomas was an avid golfer and a Clemson fan. He retired after 38 years at B.E. Aerospace. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Brinkley and Randy Brinkley; and two grandchildren, Brandon George Hunter and Jacy Bleu Swaim. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Frances Alene New Brinkley; two children, Wendy Long (Farley) and Thomas Brinkley, Jr. (Beth); five grandchildren, Vincent Brinkley, Samantha Brinkley, Daniel Brinkley, Jimmy Vann Swaim, and Kayla Michelle Hunter; two great-grandchildren, Addison Swaim and Kenzleigh Swaim; brother, Roger Brinkley; and cousin, Jimmy Walker. A service will be held at a later date.
