Obituary of Thomas "TJ" Calvino

Thomas "TJ" Joseph Calvino, age 37, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 1, 2025.

Born in Tucson, AZ on May 18, 1988, he was one of two beloved sons to Robert "Rocky" and Denise (Saturno) Calvino. TJ grew up in Burlington and was a graduate of Burlington High School Class of 2006. From an early age, TJ had a passion for hockey, golf and skiing. He was a member of his high school golf team for four years and held the position of team captain during his senior year, demonstrating leadership and responsibility. He was never more focused and content than when he was playing golf.

Following his graduation, TJ went on to work for Sanofi Genzyne for 6 years where he obtained his hazmat certification. He then joined Fresenius Medical Care for the last 10.5 years as a Quality Systems Manager specializing in corrections and removals. TJ was a dedicated employee who consistently worked hard taking his duties seriously. He enjoyed his job and regarded his colleagues as his extended family.

TJ enjoyed being around people and was known for his free spirit, fun-loving sense of humor, intelligence and generous with his emotions. He might not have been the center of attention, but he always made every gathering enjoyable with his humor.

Golf, skiing and work were TJ's passion his entire adult life. He also enjoyed music festivals, history, podcasts, documentaries, always looking to learn something new. Spending time playing and joking around with his nieces and nephew were the highlights of his free time. He took great pride in being a brother, an uncle and looked forward to every chance he had to build lasting, fun filled memories with them.

TJ is lovingly remembered by his parents and is survived by his brother, Jeffrey Calvino of South Portland, ME; his nieces, Isabella "Bella" Calvino of Londonderry, NH, and Abigail Calvino, and his nephew, Decker Early, both of Gorham, ME. He also leaves behind his aunt, Diane Saturno of Milton, MA; his cousin, Anthony Saturno of Rockland, MA; and a wide circle of cherished relatives, friends, and colleagues.

TJ was the grandson of Louis and Tina Calvino, Gina and Salvatore Saturno, and the nephew of John Saturno, all deceased.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend TJ's Funeral Mass at St. Margaret's Church, 111 Winn Street, Burlington on September 19, at 12:00pm. Immediately following will be a Celebration of His Life at the Café Escadrille, 26 Cambridge Street, Burlington. At the request of the family, burial will be held privately at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in TJ's honor may be made to either The American Heart Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
