Obituary of Lynne E. Prower

Lynne E. Prower, 76, of Burlington, MA, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 15, 2025, surrounded by family at Bear Mountain at Reading. Born on March 7, 1949, in Arlington, MA, she was the eldest of six children of the late Lindsay Ayer, Jr. and Mary (Malloy) Ayer.

After graduating from Burlington High School in 1967, Lynne began her career as a telephone operator before joining Lahey Clinic in Boston as an appointment coordinator, a role she held for many years when the clinic relocated to Burlington, MA. Lynne's fondest memories were made at Bow Lake in New Hampshire, where her family spent vacations and weekends during her childhood. This beloved tradition continued as she brought her son, Adam, to the lake each summer, creating cherished memories together.

As a devoted single mother, Lynne raised her son, Adam, with boundless love, compassion, and dedication. Her innate kindness and affection touched everyone she loved, leaving no doubt about her deep care for them. Lynne had a vibrant spirit, finding joy in both quiet moments and lively adventures. Whether curled up with a good book, cheering at one of Adam's many events, or riding on the back of a motorcycle, she embraced life with enthusiasm.

Lynne was a devoted and loving grandmother to Cora and Dylan, bringing her vibrant humor and easygoing nature to their lives. Her endless support and love created lasting memories with her family, leaving a legacy of warmth and connection.

Lynne leaves behind her cherished son, Adam Prower, and his wife, Erika, of Lowell, MA; her adoring grandchildren, Cora and Dylan Prower, of Lowell, MA; her beloved siblings, Laura MacAllister and her husband, Dana, of Derry, NH, Landra Moore of Boscawen,NH, Leslie McClure of Derry, NH, and Lindsay Ayer of Belize; along with many dear nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was predeceased by her dear brother, Larry Ayer, and brother-in-law, Ronald McClure.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington, MA.
