Andrea Marie (Goni) Mills, beloved wife of Daniel J. Mills, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, with her loving family at her side after a long-term illness. Born in Arlington, she was the loving daughter of the late Robert and Irene (Ferrarini) Goni.

Andrea grew up in Burlington, and was a graduate of Burlington High School. Following graduation, Andrea attended St. Anselm College, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. As a registered nurse, Andrea had a long and rewarding career working initially in the med-surg unit and then with moms-to-be experiencing complex pregnancies at Beth Israel Hospital.

Andrea met Dan, the love of her life, when they attended high school. They married in 1996, settled in North Reading where they raised their four children. Andrea was the most dedicated Mom, attending every dance recital, gymnastics meet, karate tournament, musical performance, and high school theater production. She was the keeper of the family schedule and would work her magic swapping hospital shifts to be able to attend all of her children's events.

Andrea lived each day to the fullest, was a fierce shopper, merciless board game competitor and binge watched home improvement shows. She loved to read, share books with friends and browse used book stores with the four kids. Exploring the world was a huge part of Andrea's life, and travelling with her family was what she enjoyed most. She never shied away from a strenuous hike, a thrilling roller coaster ride, a kayaking adventure or a simple stroll shopping for a meaningful souvenir.

She made holidays extra special with an abundance of decorations, family Christmas cards, holiday cookies and her thoughtful gift giving. Any gift received from Andrea was truly from her heart, with a personal touch that made you feel valued and loved. Andrea was compassionate, considerate, and genuine. Her dedication to her friends and especially her family was a testament to the beautiful person that Andrea was. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.

In addition to being the loving wife of Daniel, Andrea was the devoted mother of Kyle, Lindsay, Dylan and Brady Mills. Treasured niece of Marie Carbone and her late husband Carmine, cousin to Michael Carbone, Christina Carbone and Valerie Carbone. Cherished daughter-in-law of Roberta Mills, William Mills and his companion Susan Stevens, granddaughter-in-law of Mary Mills, beloved sister-in-law of Kenneth Mills and his wife Denise, Bryan Mills and his wife Alicia, and loving aunt of Emily Gockel and her husband Tom, Alexis, Evan, Carter and Delaney Mills. Andrea also leaves countless dear friends and co-workers. A special gratitude to those who cared for Andrea on her most trying days.

Family and friends are cordially invited to visitation at the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., North Reading (corner of Park St. and Rt. 28 at the Reading Line) on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025 from 4 to 8pm.

Andrea was one of my favorite people. She was a client of mine for many years and came religiously for facials and waxing but became a friend to me. We would talk for an hour or more after her services about life, family, work our health etc. Andrea was inspirational to me. She was extremely brave and so fierce. She was a beautiful person inside and out. I always admired how she juggled a nursing career, 4 children all while dealing with her health issues. She fought so hard for so long.
I moved to Florida in 2021 and left my business. Andrea continued to send me Christmas cards after I moved. I missed her so much. I missed our marathon conversations. I luckily was able to follow her on Facebook and see her beautiful children and their successes in gymnastics, dance and school etc. She was an amazing mother. My prayers go out to her beautiful family. I know she is now in peace now.
