Matthew E. Mills, III, 63, of Delray Beach, Florida, beloved husband, passed away August 14, 2025, in Ocean City, Maryland. He was preceded in death by his parents, M. Edgar (Eggie) and Sally Mills, his sisters Merril Mills and Evelyn Talbert. He is survived by his loving wife Karen.

Matthew grew up in Middleburg, Virginia on a horse farm. He went to Aiken Prep School in South Carolina and St. James Academy in Maryland. After completing high school, he went to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida, where he received his Pilot's license and flew privately for two heart surgeons. He lived in Daytona Beach, where he enjoyed NASCAR racing with season tickets. His passion for fast cars led him to Bill Scott Racing where he raced Formula Super Vees at Summit Point, West Virginia.

It wasn't until Matthew moved back to Middleburg, Virginia where he met his soul mate and wife, Karen. They were together for 29 loving years until his untimely death. Matthew enjoyed fishing with his wife in the Florida Keys. He spent his summers in Ocean City, Maryland, where he enjoyed the boats and dolphins in the bay and the beautiful sunsets. He loved to travel and take cruises. Mathew enjoyed many wonderful trips around the world. He was the love of my life, forever in my heart. He will be greatly missed.

He shared all his love and laughter that a lifetime would allow.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
