Thomas Patrick Clifford, 88, of Leland, IL passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Autumn Leaves of St. Charles in St. Charles, IL. He was born on January 3, 1937 in Chicago, IL. The son of Thomas and Pauline (Antonetti) Clifford. Thomas started working at the age of 14, to help support his family. Thomas started working as a sprinkler fitter then graduated to second in command of a sprinkler corporation, with time he proudly built, owned and operated his successful business Cannon Fire Protection. Thomas was known as a generous man to all who knew him and was a great provider. He was very passionate about golf, he was blessed to be able to play golf all around the world.
He is survived by his four children, Kathleen Bailey, Frank Clifford, Paula Herrman, and Karen Dennis; eight grandchildren; one brother, Dennis (Sue) Clifford and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six siblings, John Clifford, James Clifford, Patricia Walsh, Harriet Clifford, Ann Rose King, and Michael Clifford.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 11:00 am with Rev. Joseph Naill officiating at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 320 South Depot St. Somonauk, IL 60552. Burial will be private and held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to www.stjude.org St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
