Thomas Daly, 63, of Mahopac, NY passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023 after a short illness.
He was born in Manhattan on January 4, 1960, the son of Vincent and Mary (Hughes) Daly.
Tom grew up in Chappaqua, NY, graduating from Horace Greeley High School in 1978. He was a carpenter by trade and the owner of T.D. Construction. Tom supported the FDNY 343 Ride Bicycle Program.
On May 30, 1992 he married Joanne Malandrino at Immaculate Conception Church in Sleepy Hollow, NY and in 1993, they moved to Mahopac to start their family. In addition to Joanne, he is survived by his sons, Thomas and Nicholas; his brothers, Vincent (Effie) and John (Debra); his sister, Anne Daly as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Mary in 2017 and his son Ryan on May 11, 2022.
Tom will be remembered as a very caring man who would help anyone in need. He taught his sons many aspects of the construction business that will remain with them for life. Tom was a very loving father who would have moved mountains for his boys. He had many lifelong friendships who remained loyal his entire life. He will be greatly missed.
Visiting will be held on Wednesday, July 19 from 4-7 pm at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home, Mahopac. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 20 at 10 am at St. John the Evangelist Church in Mahopac. Those wishing to attend the Funeral Mass are requested to go directly to the church. Interment following Mass will be private.
