Thomas William Dauer Jr.

Thomas William Dauer Jr, age 56, died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, August 24, 2024, in Newark, Ohio after a long and hard-fought battle with Leukemia. He was born on November 3, 1967, in Columbus, Ohio; the eldest son of Thomas William Dauer, Sr and Dianne Sue (Mann) Dauer.
Tommy will be dearly missed and is survived by his parents; siblings, Karen (Charles) First, Matthew (Heather) Dauer, Daniel Dauer and Anthony (Tasha) Dauer; nephews and nieces, Nicholas Dauer, Alicia First, Carson Dauer, Kendall Dauer and Aiden Dauer; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins; beloved friends and coworkers. He is preceded in death by both sets of grandparents and many other family members.
Tommy grew up in New Albany, Ohio and was a graduating member of the class of 1986 where he made life-long friends. He was a member of the Boy Scouts and the Bassmasters. Tommy's real passions were fishing, hunting and cooking. His favorite times were the fishing and hunting trips with his brothers and friends. He could tell you anything you wanted to know about these topics and could cook like a professional chef, sharing many recipes and tips. He was a stranger to no one and was full of wisdom beyond his years. He enjoyed his job at Northridge Local Schools and had many friends there. "Just Keep Casting" were words of wisdom Tommy lived by especially during his health struggles. They are words we should all remember in his honor.
A Celebration of Life will be held open house style on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 14495 Fancher Road, Johnstown, Ohio 43031. Family and friends may call starting at 1:00pm until 5:00pm.
