Thomas Matthew "Tom" Davies

Thomas "Tom" Matthew Davies, 82, of Simpsonville, SC entered into his eternal rest on August 1, 2024. He was born on June 10, 1942 in Cleveland, GA. Tom graduated from The Georgia Institute of Technology with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1964. He worked in engineering and project management, traveling globally working on various projects throughout his career.
Tom is survived by his wife, Janet Magill Davies, his two children, Carla Davies Brock (Kevin) of Seneca, SC and Matthew Davies (Niurka) of Mount Pleasant, SC and four grandchildren, Ansley and Ian Brock, Jillian Davies and Adriana Borrego. Also surviving are his siblings, Linda Davies Brill, Dr. Steven Davies and Mark Davies. He was predeceased by his parents, GL and Eloise Davies, brother GL Davies, Jr. and sister Dianne Newell.
Tom was a dedicated member of Gideons International since 1987, faithfully distributing Bibles throughout the world, and an Elder Emeritus at Christ Community Church in Simpsonville.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Community Church.
