Thomas Edward Davis, 83, of New Carlisle, Indiana, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024 at his home.
He was born May 11, 1941 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Merle Davis and Joyce Elizabeth (Jones) Davis-Rea.
On August 26, 1961, in Michigan City, IN, Thomas married Irene Maybell Payne, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jane Bailey; brother, Robert Rae and his beloved dogs, Bugaboo and Sweetie.

A lifelong resident of the area, Thomas was a member of the United States Army, serving in Germany. He was a truck driver and proud member of the Teamsters Local 142. Thomas began working as a tree trimmer, eventually retiring in 1985 with Waste Management in Michigan City. He was an avid "car guy", owning many classic cars, including a '36 Ford and was a member of the Michigan City Car Club, attending as many car shows as he could. Throughout his life, Tom was known as a prankster, with a fantastic sense of humor.
